This is our shared house-hunting dashboard. All the data lives in our Google Sheet β this app is just a friendly way to look at it and add notes. First thing: tap your name (Jordan or Julia) at the top right so the app knows who you are.
Tap + Add House, start typing the address (it autocompletes), then fill in the price, beds, baths, and sqft from the listing, paste the Zillow link, and add a photo URL if you have one (right-click the Zillow photo β Copy image address). Hit save.
Heads-up: the app doesn't pull live Zillow data anymore, so you type the listing facts yourself. It does automatically fill in the train distance, sun/solar, and walk-to-Chai-Center once the hourly sync runs. Fastest option for a batch: send the Zillow links + facts to Jordan and they get dropped straight in.
Before we go see a house, each of us opens it and gives a quick π (worth seeing) or π (pass), with optional notes. This is just a gut-check from the online listing β not a formal rating. The home page shows a banner reminding you how many houses are still waiting on your look.
Both π β the house moves to Pending open-house visit, so we know to go see it together.
One π and one π β it stays in Active so we can talk it over. Both π β it moves itself to Ruled out automatically. You can always flip the Our take toggle back to Considering to bring it back, or rule out any house by hand the same way.
On the house's card, check off who visited β Jordan, Julia, or both β and type in anyone else who came along. That unlocks the full rating: sliders for location, layout, condition, outdoor, and parking, plus what you liked and didn't. We each do our own. The detailed rating stays locked until a house is visited on purpose β no point scoring "condition" off staged photos.
Status (For Sale / Pending / Sold) is a manual dropdown β set it when a listing changes. Our take is Considering vs Ruled out. The β Priority list lets you drag houses into ranked order; it always starts at #1 over the active homes.
Each tile shows price (red if over budget), beds/baths, sqft (red if under 2,500), lot size, taxes, π nearest LIRR + drive time, βοΈ sun/solar, πΆ walk to the Chai Center, and each of our ratings.
